Join us at our ICF Georgia April VIRTUAL Chapter Meeting:  "How to Shift the Focus to Coaching the Person, Not Their Problem" featuring Dr. Marcia Reynolds, MCC.

Event Description:

Even experienced coaches fall into the trap of focusing on the problems clients bring to their sessions. If you stay focused on these dilemmas, the coaching feels like it is going in circles. This presentation will help you shift from problem-solving to coaching the human in front of you even when clients are emotionally attached to their problems.

You will discover new applications of your coaching competencies, learn three ways to prepare your mind for coaching, and after observing a demonstration of coaching with the presenter, explore what you will do differently in your own coaching engagements.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Be able to articulate what you do as a coach and the impact you offer your clients.
2. Understand the value of the "coaching agreement" and how this competency can shift from coaching the problem to coaching the person.
3. Learn the essential elements for embodying a coaching mindset while in the process no matter what transpires.
4. Watch this process demonstrated and then further explore the process of coaching after the demo is completed.
