Join us at our next ICF-GA Leadership Community of Practice meeting:  Empathy & Feedforwarding featuring speaker Nadine Walley, ACC

1.5 Core

Event Description:

Top Leadership Competencies for Leaders & Coaches – Empathy & Feedforwarding. Competencies that can be integrated into your coaching practice.

Showing empathy for your client is an ICF Core Competency. It is also a competency that effective leaders demonstrate for their team. When we become more empathetic coaches, we show support and concern for our clients. We will learn different perspectives on empathy to increase our knowledge and understanding.

In addition, getting feedback on how our sessions are received is often overlooked. Using feedforwarding techniques can help gain trust in your coaching relationship.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn how to show up as empathetic even though we have not experienced what our client has experience
  • Understand and practice feedforward techniques and know the benefits versus feedback.
