    8:30 - 9:00 am --  Open Networking, Continental breakfast

9:00 - 9:30 am – Greetings from ICF GA, ICF Global and a few sponsors

    9:30 - 11:00 am – Keeping the Spark Alive

    Marcia Reynolds, MCC, PsyD

What makes coaching a dynamic and interesting process for both the coach and client? The insights that emerge from the special relationship that makes every conversation an awesome experience.

We don’t coach to solve problems; we coach to release imagination and expand understanding. We don’t coach people to achieve goals. We serve to unfold knowing and strengthen courage. We don’t try to make people feel better about themselves. We coach them to see themselves and their worlds in more profound ways. They then act with more confidence and commitment.

When we forget who we are as coaches, we lose sight of the gifts we provide.

When we remember that honing our craft is a continuous journey and use our community to sustain our inspiration, we walk with purpose on our paths of mastery.

    This session will look at:

    • What makes coaching such a powerful learning technology that activates sustainable change.
    • How the myths of coaching can trigger frustration and even boredom for the coach,
    • What essential coaching practices create the magical moments.
    • The presentation will include a demonstration, a fun practice session, and a Q&A.
    • When coaching is genuinely a spontaneous interaction that balances flow and structure, the coach can rely on curiosity and courage, not memory and tools, to ignite the spark that keeps the passion for coaching alive.

    11:00 – 11:15 am Break

11:30  - 12:30 pm – Gaining Passion and Innovation Through a Strong Coaching Culture

    Robert Garcia, MBA, ACC, CAE

In an era where retaining high-performing talent and maintaining bench strength are strategic imperatives for businesses, the value of a strong coaching culture is undeniable. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) has benchmarked the criteria for strong coaching cultures and developed key elements to measure its impact on the organization. This ongoing research has revealed that coaching initiatives are most successful when they are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.

In this session we will explore the six elements that encompass a strong coaching culture including: employees and senior leaders value coaching, coaches and leaders get coach-specific training, coaching has a dedicated budget and how to request financial resources, the three coaching modalities (external coaching, internal coaching, and leaders using coaching skills) are utilized, and all employees have access to coaching. Using real-world examples from organizations with a strong coaching culture including Intel, Cleveland Clinic, TD Bank, SAP, and others, Robert will demonstrate how continued success can be achieved and explore the impact that coaching has on innovation, productivity, engagement, and passion!

Participants will hear first-hand experiences from organizations who have been successful in establishing a coaching culture among others.

At the end of the workshop, participants will:

    • Gain experience in creating a coaching culture from organizations sharing challenges and successes of building a strong coaching culture
    • Deepen knowledge and understanding of specific enabling elements needed for creating a coaching culture in organizations
    • Be inspired and confident with an action plan to take the next step to create a coaching culture in their organization

12:30 pm -1:30 pm Networking Lunch – with special MCC only lunch with Marica Reynolds

1:30 – 2:30 pm – Fireside chat time about Diversity, Equity, Including and Belonging (DEIB) With Tonya Echols, PCC, CPA, CIC and Dr. Kiki Ramsey, MCC

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) is not just another buzzword. It is a lived experience that plays a part in all of our lives. In this powerful conversation, two DEBI experts will come together to share their personal experiences, thoughts, and insights on how all can embrace DEIB. The conversation will delve into the importance of fostering an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and heard, breaking down barriers that have hindered progress in the past and talk about how coaching can play a major role in breaking down barriers and fostering more inclusive workplaces.

Join us at The Big ICF-GA VIRTUAL Meeting: Gaining Coaching Clients Without Having to Find Them featuring Tolu Akande, PCC

    Event Description:

For many coaches, coaching is purpose and passion work. Business development usually is not. Networking, business plans, pitching, selling, and social media can be very challenging. It can be a real struggle for many coaches, particularly BIPOC coaches to develop a sustainable client portfolio.

With the growth of the coaching industry now valued at $2.8B (2019, ICF Study), there is money to be made for coaches. The question arises, “Is there a way to coach and do what I love without always having to be great at business development?”

The answer is “yes.” This workshop will share best practices for developing a healthy clientele by cultivating multiple streams of clients. Participants will learn how to leverage coaching communities, coaching vendors, and coaching peers to keep “the main thing” the main thing: coaching people.

Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEU): 1.5 TBD
