Join us for our Summer Learning SeriesCoaching Through Resistance Around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion featuring ICF-GA member, Nicholas Harvey, Ph.D.

Event Description:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) brings up many different emotions and not all of them are positive. In some cases, even the suggestion that there may be a need for a DEI program can produce resistance and resentment. Coaches can play an integral role in developing leaders to create workplaces where all persons can thrive.

We invite you to join Dr. Nicholas Harvey, The Social Impact Coach, and Inclusion Instigator, to discover strategies for coaching clients through their resistance around DEI.  During this engaging encounter, we look forward to our time of growing in clarity, confidence, and courage.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Create an awareness around the resistance fostered by DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) topics in clients
  2. Share the appropriate mindsets for coaches when coaching a client who demonstrates resistance related to DEI
  3. Provide suitable coaching strategies and responses for coaches when coaching clients around DEI
  4. Demonstrate how coaching through resistance regarding DEI aligns with the ICF Coaching Competencies.
